How do I remove HTML code from my homepage of my website?

I put a HTML code on my website to add a banner one of my page. This bannner did something unusual such as removing some of my other data on the page. When I remove this flag is not there a box to delete it. I can not seem to find a way to remove this flag. This morning, the affiliated company that gave me this banner to contact me and gave me what he said was a "delete code". I went into my website and added this "remove the code" the page, and the most horrible thing happened. Instead of removing this flag, this "code", added a second flag of the page, like the first. I cannot imagine how to get this damn banner, and the second now offsite. Can someone help me. The site is on tripod, and I've been using "Site Builder" to make the addition and deletion. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have a webpage editor? You will also need an FTP program. Enter your site address in the FTP program, the user name and password and then connect. You will have a window interface with your web address where you can download and upload the pages. I'm giving you a link a web page editor and a free FTP client. Download your website and edit the extra upload. I hope it works for you, good luck!
