How do I host a website on Hostgator or any other web hosting?

I've been going out Hostgator to host a WordPress blog or any website. I have checked as on Yahoo and GoDaddy. GoDaddy I had at one time and could not find the life of me. I looked at the site builder at Hostgator and was quite easy to use, but I put Google AdSense and other affiliate links on my site. Can you even put java script or HTML in the site builder? I got the part of CP all the details, but I do not understand what any of it means. I know a little HTML, enough to make a website, but where I put it? It was mentioned something about FrontPage, but it's something I have already arrived or not Hostgator with him? Where do I put the code to actually make a site? What does all this trickery?

First create the page offline (no Internet with Home with all links to hyperlinks with only single bonds lke home.html, FrontPage can also add your jacvascript and ads etc … herer ur all while this is their phase. Second register with a service free web hosting or whatever paid a will and then use your PC featuere upload or use FTP to Uplaod files on the server. Make sure your homepage is called index.html.
