is the MPhil degree through distance education guidelines accepted by the state Govt. for lecturship?

I'm studying for MPhil in chemistry through distance education from the date of Madurai Kamaraj University.my MPhil registration is 11th December until the end of 2006 this degree, Lecturship am I eligible for any college affiliated to Mumbai University rules of the UGC and the state government of Maharashtra.

Internet is a method delivery, not sure why it would matter
